A National Museum at Islamabad the capital of Pakistan has been felt since long. To begin with, the Department of Archaeology and Museums, National Heritage and Literary Division, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad has established a nucleus for the National Museums of Pakistan at the capital city under the name of Islamabad Museum. The president of Sir Syed memorial Society allocated a spacious accommodation in the Sir Syed Memorial Building at Ataturk Avenue, G-5/3, Islamabad for temporarily housing Islamabad Museum, Ministry of Information, Broadcasting & National Heritage, Islamabad, Government of Pakistan has established a nucleus for the national Museum of Pakistan at the capital city under the name of Islamabad Museum. The Department of Archaeology and Museums is indebted to the Sir Syed Memorial Society and its President for this generosity.
