The On-Site Technical Training Program for Digital Documentation has commenced at the Department of Archaeology & Museums (DoAM), Islamabad, in collaboration with the Korea Heritage Agency, under the “Capacity Strengthening for the Management of National Cultural Assets in Pakistan Project (2026–2030).” The training program is designed to strengthen technical capacity and professional expertise in the digital documentation, management, preservation, and conservation of Pakistan’s national cultural heritage assets. It provides participants with practical knowledge and modern digital documentation techniques, supporting the effective recording, protection, and sustainable management of the country’s archaeological and cultural heritage. Participants from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are taking part in the training, gaining hands-on expertise in contemporary methods of heritage documentation and digital asset management. Their participation represents an important step towards developing a skilled and technically equipped heritage workforce across Pakistan. The initiative reflects the growing Pakistan–Korea cooperation in cultural heritage preservation and highlights the importance of international knowledge exchange, technical collaboration, and capacity building in safeguarding Pakistan’s rich and diverse cultural heritage for future generations.
