Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture, Mr. Aurangzaib Khan Khichi, along with Federal Secretary, National Heritage & Culture Division, Mr. Asad Rehman Gilani, Director General, Federal Department of Archaeology & Museums, Syeda Tanzeela Sabahat, and Director General, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Mr. Muhammad Ayub Jamali, Director PNCA, Mr. Amanullah visited the World Heritage site of Mohenjo-daro. During the visit, the delegation reviewed the archaeological remains and ongoing efforts for the preservation, conservation, and protection of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The officials were briefed on the historical significance of Mohenjo-daro, conservation measures, and challenges associated with safeguarding the ancient site. The Federal Minister emphasized the importance of protecting Pakistan’s archaeological heritage and ensuring effective measures for the preservation of Mohenjo-daro for future generations. The visit reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to the protection, conservation, and promotion of Pakistan’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage.
