Sra Kala

Description: A number of forts including Sheren Kila, Kila Pinda Khan and Sra Kala were erected in the outskirts of Pishin town. The remains of Sra Kala are located about 8 km towards north of Pishin town in a plain area. The ruins of fort are measuring 61 x 76 m with 4.5 m elevation. Though, it is a massive and important fort founded at strategic spot, however, the founder of the fort, time span of its construction and life is unknown. The pottery fragments found on the surface of the mound were plain and painted and rope pattern. Whereas, fine glazed shards were also collected. It is historical mound where the Islamic period glimpses are clearly reflected. The site is tentatively dated to 8th century CE. The site measures 26000 sq.m.
