Description: This site is located in the midst of Bori tract in the barren up valley about 45 km south of the historic site of Daber Kot and 7 km east of Loralai. This pre-historic site was for the first time visited and described by Fritz Nettling in 1893. Afterward it was visited by Sir Aurel Stein in 1904 and excavated by him in 1927. This mound was also examined by E.G. Ross and his wife in 1944 and published the chronological sequence of the site. This was later on followed by Mr. Piggott in 1953. Fairservis also visited this site in 1955. The chronology of the site was established from E. J. Ross excavations, which is based on the five period. Stein found painted pottery, calcined bones, fragments of wood, apart from structures of mud brick or clay built. Pebbles were also used in the walls at certain positions. The painted pottery had patterns like black buck, humped bulls, and polychrome geometric pattern.
