Periano Ghundai

Description: The historical mound of Periano Ghundai is located near Fort Sandeman and very close to the town of Zhobe. It is badly devastated by natural hazard and human vandalism. It measures 240 x 200 m with a height of 16 m. It is a very potential site, which overlaps all known civilizations lingering from pre-historic to the Sassanian period. It was first visited by Fritz Noetling in 1893, followed by Stein in 1927. Fairservis visited the site in 1953. (Makin Khan 2019:113-116). The potshards including plain, painted with geometric and animal designs, while chert blades, beads of terracotta, terracotta female and male figurines, animal figurines were also recorded from the site (Kakar 2000:191).
