Type: Archaeological Site - Settlement
Province: Balochistan
District: Turbat
Period: Proto Historic
Relative Chronology: 3500 BCE - 1800 BCE
Description: About 1 km to the north-west of Sami, on the summit of the nearer and higher hill overlooking the village, we have discovered remains of ancient occupation (walls, shards). This place is an excellent observation post for watching over the junction of the Kil and Gish valleys and the upper part of the Kech valley. The pottery found there suggests the same chronology as for the Sami settlement. The site is associated to Protohistoric period (Dasht and Shahi Tump assemblages- 4th-3rd millennium BCE), Zangian Period (2nd Century BCE - 2nd Century CE) and Islamic Period (7th - 19th centuries CE).
