Bism Town Mound (North)

Description: This mound measures 270 x 230 m with maximum surviving height of 8 m. And is situated on the northern fringes of Besma town in Besma tehsil. Surface collection includes potshards representing two periods. Glazed pottery is found along with pottery of the mature Indus culture. On the basis of surface collection, the site has been dated to 2600-2200 BCE for mature Indus phase and for subsequent occupation by the Muslims during 14th/15th century CE.
