Hotal Damb-1

Description: The large mound measuring 350 x 270 m is situated west of Kharan Besma road in Hotal village. It is strewn with potshards which include mostly dark red ware with thin texture, while thick texture sheds are also found. The pottery is mostly decorated in black on red in geometrical designs or parallel black bands. Bowls with flat base and open mouth were found in large number. Coarse ware with grooves on body, painted shards having striking resemblance with late Kulli culture pottery were also found. On the basis of finds, the site can be dated to 2500 - 2200 BCE.
