Ishal

Description: The site of Ishal is situated east of Darel, a wide and even terrace on a steep slope above the Indus. Its boundary to the east is the Ishal Gah. The petroglyphs show mainly wild animals and hunters, 29 of them belonging to the prehistoric period. A swastika and trident as well as a disc are among the more remarkable petroglyphs in this site. Four Brahmi inscriptions are pecked into the surface of some rocks with great care. At this site 145 carvings and inscriptions on 23 boulders are found.
