East of the bridge on the left bank of river Indus a concentration of petroglyphs having ibexes, stupas, inscriptions are found. Dani gave the name Chilas- X. A Kharoshti inscription just facing the Karakoram Highway, gives a clear reading, Uvimadasakasa. Although no royal title is attached to this name. As, the Kharoshti style is of the Kushana period, chronologically there is no difficulty. This Kushana name is spelt as Uvima Kavithisasa in the Khalatse inscription.
