Description: The Astana of Mir Syed Mir Yahya is located to the west of the Khanqah - e -Moallah, Shigar. It is located in a complex of several Astana, possibly belonging to relatives of Mir Syed Yahya. The complex is surrounded by a boundary wall with an entrance on the southern side, connecting it to the settlement. The main Astana has a square plan, and is wrapped by a verandah on all four sides. It is built with a traditional cribbage and cator technique, and has a double layered roof. At top roof sits rather majestically a Tibetan tower, denoting the buildings sacred nature. Inside the Astana, four carved columns connected with wooden arches carry the weight of the roof above. The wall of the building, meanwhile, contains carved patterns.
