Description: Located in the Saling village at the foot of a hill, this fort-palace is located only 6 km away from the town of Khaplu, on a flat piece of land on the right bank of Shyok River. The fort palace was built with a traditional cribbage and cator structure, using timber, stone, adobe and mud. It is a two-level building, featuring a dominant balcony on its eastern side. It has a rectangular plan and consists of an inner courtyard on the first floor, surrounded with a row of residential rooms, storage space, kitchens, stables, etc.
