Description: Kharkoo is a village on the right bank of the Shyok River. The Kharkoo mosque is situated on the left bank of the Kharkoo stream, and is located on the highest point of the Kharkoo village. It is built with a traditional cribbage and cator technique, using stone, timber and mud. The building has a main prayer hall with a double- sided verandah on its eastern and southern sides, decorated with wooden arches.
