Toztsay Mosque Ganche

Description: This historic mosque, locally known as the Toztsay (Balti: Orphan) Mosque. The mosque is located next to the western side of the historic Chaqchan Mosque. It was constructed by the ruling family of Khaplu, and was used to offer a special prayer - the Fatiha Khwani - over the graves of their relatives. The mosque has a square plan, and is built on a raised platform of rubble masonry. It consists of a small prayer room with a verandah on its eastern and southern sides.
