Khanqah-e-Moallah Palit

Description: This Khanqah-e-Moallah is 70 km away from the town of Khaplu. The only access to the site is provided by a traditional footbridge over the Saltoro Stream. The Khanqah is situated on a slope at the heart of the historic settlement of Palit. It has a square plan and a verandah on its eastern and northern sides. The buildings structural composition primarily consists of timber, stone, and concrete. In 2004, the community added reinforced concrete to the lower level of the Khanqah, and added more walls in order to increase its capacity.
