Khanqah-e-Moallah Kharfaq

Description: The Kharfaq village is situated on the left bank of the Shyok River, some 30 km away from the main town of Khaplu. This historic Khanqah lies on the highest topographic location of Kharfaq village, surrounded by a historic settlement, and it consists of a main prayer hall and a double-sided verandah (facing east and north). The building is built with a traditional cribbage and cator construction technique, using timber, stone and mud.
