Description: The village Ghawari is located on the left bank of the Shyok River and is located 40 km away from the main town of Khaplu. This massive Khanqah is a prominent building, built topographically at the highest location of Ghawari village. It is surrounded with traditional houses. The Khanqah is built with a traditional cribbage and cator construction technique, using timber, stone and mud. The building consists of a main prayer hall and an entrance verandah on its eastern side. In front of the verandah is a courtyard with a large plane tree.
