Khanqah e Moallah Daghoni

Description: Daghoni is a village in Khaplu on the right bank of the Shyok River. This large Khanqah, built on a raised platform, is accessible from a road that runs adjacent to it. Its construction was initiated by Syed Ali Hamdani, 600 years ago, but was completed by Syed Mir Yahya Shigari. The Khanqah consists of a main prayer hall with a verandah on two sides, and is built with a traditional cribbage and cator technique, using timber, stone, and mud.
