Chinpa Mosque

Description: The Chinpa settlement is located on the right bank of the Shigar stream, to the west of the Shigar Fort-Palace. The Chinpa mosque is the oldest structure in this settlement. Its edifice is situated on a raised platform, and is built with a timber framed cribbage and cator structure using stone infill and clay. The mosque consists of a prayer hall of a square plan and a verandah on its eastern side. A changrah (traditional gathering space) is located on the northern side of the mosque, acting as an entry point to the settlement.
