Description: The site of Kharfaq is situated on the right bank of River Shayok along the Balghar road just after cross the Kharfaq Suspension Bridge. The carvings are found between the road and the River Shyok, which are easily seen from the road. The huge boulder preserving carvings of two beautifully carved stupas with swastika symbol, a beautiful flower vase and inscriptions in Tibetan scripts. The stupas are carved in traditional Tibetan style.
