Description: Gupis fort is situated near the Government College on the left side of the main road. It is measured 77.4 x 67 m. Gupis fort was built in 1894 by Kashmir imperial forces as a staging camp for troops who used to travel from Chitral to Gilgit. This fort was of strategic concern for borders of Afghanistan and Russia nearby. It has 5m high halls with watch towers, originally mounted by canons. Lord Curzon Viceroy of India had reportedly spent few days at this fort.
