Baryar Mound

Description: An archaeological site, located 8 km south of Attock city and about one km east of Attock-Fatehjang road on the southern side of Baryar link road on the southern side of Baryar village on the left bank of river Haro in the barren and eroded land. A hill torrent runs on its southern side resulting in acute erosion of the mound and cutting it into three parts. Southern part is badly eroded with deep gullies exposing remains. Cultural deposits are rich. The site is littered with potshards and iron fragments. It measures 250 x 200 m with surviving height of 15 m.
