Dubi 5

Type: Archaeological Site - Settlement
Province: Sindh
District: Khairpur
Period: Proto Historic
Relative Chronology: 3500 BCE - 1800 BCE
Description: At about 150 m in the southwestern corner from the site of Dubi 4, a number of arrowheads were collected. These arrowheads are both in complete and in broken condition. There were also a number of micro flakes. Potshards are in a good concentration at some spots and scanty at other spots. At about 30 on the eastern side, a complete and perfectly leaf-shaped arrowhead was discovered. Similarly, towards the southwestern corner some more pointed tools were collected including a small limestone arrowhead. Geometric tools, along with flaking debris were collected from various spots, suggesting that this spot was a camp site where these tools were manufactured. It is quite possible that this spot was an extension of the site of Dubi 4.
