Site 5 near lake Khurandah Dhand

Description: The site is situated along the western side of a small sand dune located along cultivated lands. This is a huge settlement with thick density of cultural assemblage scattered over the surface. The surface is literary look red from quite a distance. The tops surface and entire western side of a small sand dune is covered with artifacts mainly the pottery. The concentration of objects in cluster shape suggests the separate hut/house. In northern side some outlines of the rooms on the surface were noticed. These rooms might have been constructed with mud wall at base and roof with wooden material. This architectural tradition is commonly exercised in surrounding area. This site is very rich in cultural material such as pottery in various sizes and decorated with different designs and motifs; glass pieces, bangles, coin and iron pieces. Several bones were also observed on the surface. The preliminary examination of artifacts suggests the date from 8th to 11th Century AD.
