Mojgarh Fort

Description: Mojgarh fort was built by Muhammad Maruf Khan Kehrani in 1743 CE, his square tomb decorated with glaze tiles and surmounted by a single dome stands about 400yards south of the fort. The construction of the fort was completed by Maruf Khans son Jan Muhammad Khan and his successor, Umar Khan in 1757 CE. At present, the fort is in ruins, the outer burnt brick facing has collapsed at numerous places and the material is being re used by the local inhabitants. The fort is square in plan, measuring 99m x 95m x 73m on the southern, western and northern sides.
