Haveli-I (Tehsil, Talagang)

Description: Haveli, located in village Lava of Tehsil Talagang. It is constructed with standard sized bricks and lime mortar. This haveli consists of several rooms. Back walls of the monuments have been beautifully built with finished kanjur stone. A set of five stairs is leading towards haveli. Main wide pointed arch is flanked by two slightly narrow pointed arches. These are further supported by six pillars. The pillars are comprised of stepped base, plain shaft and a bloomed lotus capital. Both of the sides of small arches are embellished with several geometric shapes among them plaque is prominent. Traces of parrot green color on the arches is visible. On both sides of these small arches, another set of wide pointed arches are present. These arches are succeeded by a rectangular veranda. Main wooden door is provided in this veranda which opens in the interior of the building. Main door is encased with a huge multi-foiled pointed arch and fringed by two small niches on each side for the placement of oil lamps. The side doors are encapsulated within concentric multi-foiled and trefoil arches respectively. Exterior of the building is also provided with wooden windows.
