Kern Wooden Graves

Description: The site is situated at the distance of about 12 km in the north-west of Neelum village. The place is at the distance of 38 km to the east of Tehsil Sharda. This is a huge mound occupied by ancient graves. Some of these graves have engraved stone slabs. The fragments of pottery can be seen on the surface of mound. There are a large number of trees covering the mound. Some of the graves have wooden cenotaphs with engraved works in floral and geometric designs. These include the lotus and oil lamps designs. There are four wooden pillars on each side of a grave holding a triangular roof.
