Description: Kot Sarang was established by Raja Sarang who as the head of Janjuha Rajput family of Kot Sarang. He also ordered to build a fort there under his own name. Later on, this place was conquered by Awans. Kot Sarang is considered an ancient settlement. A word of Sirhing is used today in Iranian army for the rank of Cornel. Its actual name was Kot Sirhing and had been changed to Kot Sarang. Mortimer Wheeler said that an evidence of early stone tools associated to the early man had been gathered from this area which indicated about their occupational skills.
