Gahno Khan Tomb

Description: This tomb is located in Mian Noor Muhammad Kalhora graveyard, Nawab Shah. It is square in plan and measures 7.70x7.70x16m. It is made up of burnt bricks, mud mortar, lime mortar and glazed tiles. A pointed arch door having multi-cusp edges within a large deep multi-cusp arched frame is provided at the entrance. Low dome has been erected on octagonal drum crowned with thick finial or lantern. Interior chamber is decorated with deep recessed arch panels in each wall with multi-cusp panels. The tomb is associated to Kalhora period of Historic Sindh (1700-1783 CE).
