Chuntra Haveli

Description: A British period Haveli measuring 100m x 50m, located in the main Chauntra Village. It is rectangular in plan. It is a double storeys building, built in burnt bricks of standard size. The most attractive feature of the haveli is fresco paintings, which covers the facade and interior of the rooms. These paintings include floral motifs, a lion and a peacock. The other notable feature of the haveli is the monumental gateway, flanked by two sub-doors and is decorated with cusped arch, Corinthian pilasters, lotus petals and floral motifs.
