Chaukhandi Tombs

Description: These are pyramidal type tomb of Baloch warriors and their families, who had settled here in 17th and 18th centuries. The graves are decorated with stone slabs chiseled out in human, figural and other conventional designs. The most conspicuous features of the graves are the devices signifying the gentle and the sterner sex. Depicted on male internments is the horseman with ornaments like shield, sword, arrow and bow. Some graves are crowned with boss and turban. The female graves are symbolized with ornaments like the necklace, bracelet, anklet, ringlet, etc.
