Description: This large brick masonry building is notable not only because it is the largest structure of the Samma period, but also because it is the first known mosque built at Makli necropolis. It was constructed by the Samma ruler Jam Tamachi as a token of gratitude to the Sufi saint Shaikh Hammad Jamali in close proximity to his Khanqah (hermitage).
