King Polluns Samadhi

Type: Monument - Samadh
Province: Sindh
District: Tharparkar
Period: Historic
Relative Chronology: 13th-15th Century CE
Description: It is a stone monument built as a tribute to an important personality of Jodhpur after he was killed during a war of which no date is available. If we take into account the history of Jodhpur state under independent rulers, the period is circa from 1226 to 1818 CE, which is a long period. Obviously, the Mughals and local rulers had firm control of Sindh from 16th to 18th centuries. Therefore, the tentative period of this monument could be somewhere between 13th and 15th centuries. It is a circular shaped building.
