Burje (Batai Darra) Qadir Nagar

Description: A Buddhist period archaeological site, comprises a big complex measuring 10m x 10m square. A room on the west side is in good condition and its two walls are preserved up to 4m. In the southern wall, two square niches probably meant for keeping oil lamps, small sculptures and sacred scriptures. The niche on the right side is 0.50m high and 0.40m wide, while the other is 0.30m high and 0.39m wide. Reddish colour stone has been used in the structures. The stupa is built over a plinth of 4mx4m and stairs are seen ascending from north. Potshards are scattered all over the site.
