Description: Makhdoom Muhammad Ismail Soomro was a celebrated saint of 16th century CE, Sindh. He had established a madrasah at Agham Kot for imparting religious knowledge. The burnt brick tomb of Makhdoom Muhammad Ismail Soomro can be accessed through a monumental gate which is crowned with a dome. The monumental gate bears the Persian inscription with the date of death as 996 AH/1599 CE. His tomb is noted for the beautiful ceramic tiles which adorn its entire facade. The interior was also adorned with paintings but badly damaged by frequent renovations. His three sons are also buried in the same compound.
