Description: A British period Hindu temple located in Jhanda Bazar, Karimpura inside the walled city of Peshawar. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Maha Shivratri. It is one of the few surviving Hindu temples in Peshawar, along with Kalibrari Mandir and Gorakhnath Mandir inside Gor Khatri. The Maha Shivratri Festival is celebrated as the Night of Lord Shiv in memory of his marriage with goddess Parvati. Adherents of the Hindu faith used to gather here from various parts of the province to participate in the rituals.
