Description: The whole neighborhood of Jamalgarhi is marked by monumental remains of Kushan period. On the north side of the Jamalgarhi hill, are the distinct traces of a former path, which leads to the foot of the hill through a perennial stream, flows by a small village of Chichar about 1.5 km north- north-west of Jamalgarhi, where the structures of Chichar Dheri mark ancient site. The stream was in all probability the source of water supply to Jamalgarhi and Chichar Dheri Buddhist monastic complexes. There are extensive remains including stupas and monastic area.
