Description: The stupa of Jamal Garhi is situated on the western end of Pajja hill at a distance of about 13 km north of Hoti-Mardan in the direction of Katlang. The buildings represent a complete Buddhist settlement divided in a series of courts and a massive stupa surrounded by small chapels. It was excavated by the Archaeological Department and besides a rich harvest of sculptures, a Kharoshti inscription was discovered from the site, records Samvat 359 corresponding to 275 CE. The site has state as well as private ownership.
