Tomb of Moti-Gohram

Description: The Tomb of Moti-Gohram is located around 20 km west of the Tomb of Iltaz Khan, Gandhawa. The octagonal tomb stands on a square plinth. Each wall of the octagonal tomb is 3.6 m wide (from pillar to pillar) and 9.1 m high (from plinth to drum). There are total 8 pillars of 9.1 m highest and a width of 2.4 m at the bottom that narrows drum to the top, the drum octagonal in shape is 1.8 m high with a circumference of 20.7 m, a semicircular drum of 19.5 m circumference rests upon the drum. The wall of pillars of the interior from all the sides are damaged due to weathering effect. The remains of blue gazed tile work are evident from source of the tiles both from the interior and the exterior of the tomb, but most of the tiles have fallen. Architectural design of the arches inside the tomb are devised, interior of the tomb has flossed designs defaced. The remains of three totally collapsed underground rooms, are under the entrance under the plinth are evidence of treasure hunting in tomb.
