Description: The site of Shah Ghurio is located about 3 Km from Peeru Lashari Railway station. It can be accessed via Tando-Bago-Talhar-Badin link road. The Archaeological site of Shah Ghurio is in a ruinous condition. The southern side of the mound has been encroached by local residents, who have built their huts and surrounded the entire the site with a dense hedge of wild shrubs. Whereas the northern side is destroyed by the local villagers while extracting earth from the mound. There is a possibility that the mound would be completely destroyed by the locals due to this quarrying activity in the very near future. The cultural material was profusely scattered on the site in a damaged condition. During the present survey, the cultural material collected from the surface included: Painted black on red ware, glazed pottery, terracotta quern, fragment of a stove piece, broken pieces of terracotta pots. The cultural material found at Shah Ghurio was similar to other sites of Badin district, chronologically dated between 12th to 18th centuries CE.
