Description
This museum is a teaching museum which is located in the Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations (TIAC), Quaid-i-Azam University. This was organized by Dr. Ahmed Hassan Dani in 2005. This consists of a room and the basic purpose of this is the education it represents the theme of the human history from the prehistoric times to the modern times. It is beautifully organized and was by the Dr. Dani himself, who was the first archaeologist of Pakistan and also the founder of TIAC and some other institutes in Pakistan. The administration is also under the TIAC, the director deals with this and is under his supervision. The maintenance is also under the department. There are different showcases and walls, displaying animal fossils, prehistoric stone tools, Gandhara Grave culture and Early Indus ceramics, Gandharan objects, Islamic period ceramics and few ethnological dresses.
