Kholah Balhat Mound

Description: An archaeological site, situated 14 km south-west of the Taxila city and about 700 m south-east of the modern Balhat village. Taxila-Bahtar road is running in the center of the mound. This is an irregular mound measuring 200 x 150 m with maximum height of 1.5 m, between two hillocks on a wedge-shaped land on southern hillock. Tomb of famous saint Sheikh Daud is situated here. Most part of the mound has been leveled for cultivation. Potshards are scattered all over the site. An animal figurine with incised decoration was also found here.
