Description: This tomb is octagonal in plan with a high bulbous dome, which stands on an eight sided podium, originally of red sandstone, in the midst of a spacious garden. The whole area is enclosed by a brick wall finished with lime plaster and is approached through an imposing gate on the south. During the reign of Ranjit Singh, it was stripped of all its marble facing, the dome and interior, leaving only the damaged marble cenotaph, inlaid with Piedra dura in floral patterns with ninety nine attributes of God in Naskh calligraphy. Originally, the floor of the tomb was in mosaic of various stones. The inner dado decorated in white marble, the outer in sang-e-abri and other variegated stones.
