Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan Han Sung-ho visited the Department of Archaeology and Museums (DOAM) in Islamabad on Thursday, where he reiterated his country's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in the preservation of archaeological and cultural heritage. The ambassador was received by Director Museums Mr.Arshad Ullah welcomed the visiting delegation. During the visit, Ambassador Han was taken on a tour of the department's important facilities, including the Immersive Gallery, the newly established gallery and the Conservation and Treatment Laboratory. Officials apprised him of recent efforts to modernise museum spaces, adopt advanced conservation practices and improve the preservation of historical artefacts. While expressing appreciation for the department's work, Ambassador Han said Pakistan and the Republic of Korea shared a common interest in protecting cultural heritage for future generations. “Korea-Pakistan cooperation will help preserve the heritage of the great civilizations of Pakistan. I am honoured to visit this historic place" .
